Our high purity silicon carbide powder is an exceptional metallurgical grade additive with a SiC content of 98.46% Min. It is widely used in the production of gray and ductile iron, acting as a deoxidizer, a source of silicon and carbon, and a grain refiner that helps improve melt performance and casting stability.

Enhanced Nucleation: Acts as a powerful inoculant, significantly increasing the graphite nucleation sites, which promotes the formation of A-type graphite in gray iron and improves nodule count in ductile iron.
Effective Deoxidation: Reduces the oxygen content in the melt more effectively than ferrosilicon, leading to a cleaner metal, reduced slag volume, and extended refractory life.
Cost-Efficient Alloying: Provides a stable and dual source of Silicon and Carbon with high recovery rates, allowing for a reduction in the use of more expensive ferroalloys and recarburizers.
